Gwen Robins

Gwendolyn "Gwen" Clontz Robinson, 85, of Cornelius Road, passed away Thursday, May 8, 2008 at Iredell Memorial Hospital. Born Dec. 20, 1922 in Iredell County, she was the daughter of the late Wade Hampton and Cora Manus Clontz. She was retired from Draymore Manufacturing and worked at Wal-mart as a greeter. She was a member of Rocky Mount United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Robinson was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Vance Robinson; brothers, J.C. and Glenn Allen Clontz; and sister, Kaylee Johnson. She is survived by her son, Lormer Dean Robinson of Mooresville; brother, Clinton Clontz of Troutman; grandchildren, Kelly Robinson and David Robinson; special nephew, Hugh Clontz of Troutman. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. at Rocky Mount United Methodist Church with Rev. James Reeves officiating. Burial followed the service in the church cemetery.
