Julia Carpenter daughter of Raymond and Rosa Poplin; Beloved wife of Harvey Gene Carpenter; Proud mother of Sidney Gene and Jimmy Sherrill Carpenter; Welcoming mother-in-law of Mary T Tonelli and Janie Carpenter; Blessed "MamaC" to seven grandchildren,their spouses and her great grandchildren: Erin and Rob Sanders: River and Charleston Christopher and Hilary Carpenter: Addyson Julia Carpenter Kyle and Maria Carpenter: Kenan Timmy and Niki Carpenter: Gunnar Keri Carpenter Kristen and Joe Wortkoetter.

Baptized, blessed, redeemed by God and the receiver of the grace and forgiveness of Jesus Christ.

Julia Ann Carpenter, 91 of Mooresville, passed away on Thursday, August 17, 2023, at the Citadel in Mooresville. She was born on June 23, 1932 in Albemarle, NC to the late Raymond and Rosa Poplin. Julia was employed by NCNB/Nations Bank/Bank of America.

A service will be held Thursday, August 24, 2023 @ 10 a.m. at Hartsell Funeral Home's Lefler Memorial Chapel in Albemarle, NC. Burial will follow at Pine Grove United Methodist Church, 28766 HWY-27, Albemarle, NC.

In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be made in Julia's name to Samaritan's Purse, Boone, NC.
