Patsy Hooper Obituary

Patsy "Patty" Coffey Hooper, 53, of Troutman, passed away on Wednesday, May 27, 2009, at Lake Norman Regional Medical Center. Born Nov. 12, 1955, in Johnson City, Tenn., she was a daughter of the late Stahley and Dorothy Kilby Pennington. Mrs. Hooper was a homemaker. She was a member of Universal Baptist Church, Kannapolis. Mrs. Hooper is survived by her husband of 18 years, Gregory Nelson Hooper; children, Jeffrey Scott Coffey of Harmony and Carry Marie Coffey of Mooresville; brothers, Stahley Jack Pennington of Shady Valley, Tenn., and Eddie Cassett of Bellville, N.J.; sisters, Rosemary Smith of Havelock, Rose Ann Locklear of Lumberton and Linda Joles of Okeechobee, Fla.; and granddaughter, Emma Rose Coffey. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. today, Friday, May 29, at Universal Baptist Church, 310 Roger Lake, Kannapolis, with the service following at 7 p.m., with Rev. Dallas Dobson officiating. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, May 30, at Blevins Cemetery, Shady Valley, Tenn. Memorials may be made to the National Kidney Foundation of NC, 5950 Fairview Rd., Suite 708, Charlotte, NC 28210. Cavin-Cook Funeral Home in Mooresville is serving the family of Mrs. Hooper.

Oh My Patsy, I do miss you! I picked up the phone to call you twice today out of habit. I love you so much and I am really going to miss you. We have shared so much together. I cannot remember a time in my life that you were not a part of it.
