Annie Mason "Ann" Hooper, 79 of Topton was called home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, January 24, 2026 while surrounded by her loving family. She was a native and lifelong resident of Topton. She was a devoted member of Rowland's Creek Baptist Church, where she sang with the Rowland's Creek Quartet for over 20 years. Ann began working in the textile industry for Berkshire, which later became Lee's. She had also worked for Owenby Manufacturing and Peachtree Industries, and was well known from her job at Dollar General.
Ann was a licensed cosmetologist and operated a retail clothing and jewelry store called K&A Fashions & More. Ann loved to shop and enjoyed spoiling herself and her family with gifts. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her grandkids.
She was the daughter of the late George and Ola Mason. She was also preceded in death by one grandson, Jarod Ryan Stewart; six sisters, Gertrude Cecil, Olene Guffey, Helen Hornaday, Della Grant, Barbara Kennedy, and Mary Lou Day; and five brothers, Eugene, Charles, Howard, Cecil, and Jack Mason.
Surviving are her husband of 61 years, Johnny Hooper of Topton, NC; one daughter, Marilyn Stewart of Topton, NC; one son, Marty Hooper and wife Tammy of Andrews, NC; two sisters, Bessie Bryant, and Naomi Sanderson; three grandchildren, Landis Hooper and wife Natalie, Colton Stewart and wife Hannah, and Analasah Anderson and husband Cale; six great-grandchildren, Samuel, Andrew, and Bennett Stewart, Cash and Adaline Anderson, and Wyatt Hooper. Ann is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, January 31, 2026 at Red Marble Baptist Church Cemetery with the Reverend Kenny Ball officiating. Pallbearers will be Landis Hooper, Colton Stewart, Kenny Mason, Cale Anderson, Randy Bryant, and Brayden West.
The family requests memorials be made in memory of Annie Mason "Ann" Hooper to the American Cancer Society P.O. Box 6704 Hagerstown, MD 21741.
