Ann Patterson Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Ivie Funeral Home - Andrews on Jan. 29, 2026.
Ann "Annie" Patterson passed peacefully in her sleep Monday, January 26, 2026. Ann sincerely loved her family and her friends until the very end evidenced by her final words of "I love you." She was a woman of faith in Jesus Christ, enjoyed traveling the country in her youth, never missed an Atlanta Braves or Carolina basketball game, and served her family with resilience. Ann had the God-given characteristics of perseverance, grit, and determination. She was a steady force and left inspiring memories that will survive many generations. We praise God for her life - all 95 years - and the gift of time we had with her.

She was the daughter of the late Jody and Glestie Holloway and wife of the late Blane Patterson who died February 6, 1995. She was also preceded in death by one son, Stephen Patterson, two sisters, Inez Ott and Cecelia Bateman, and one brother, Lynn Holloway.

Surviving are a daughter, Debbie Ambler of Andrews; one son, Allen Patterson and wife, Sue of New Mexico; four grandchildren, Jason Patterson, Billy Patterson, Blayne Little and husband, Kevin, and Laken Patterson; two sisters, Hildred McMahan and Helen Trammell both of Andrews; and three great-grandchildren.

A private service was held at Red Marble Baptist Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made in memory of Ann "Annie" Patterson to Cherokee County Food Bank, P.O. Box 843, Andrews, North Carolina 28901.
