Rebecca Alexander Obituary

Rebecca Alexander MOORESVILLE Rebecca Perkins Alexander, 89, of Mooresville, passed away Monday, April 22, 2013, at Lake Norman Regional Medical Center. She was born July 17, 1923, in Iredell County, to the late Foster and Anna Morrow Perkins. She was a charter member and very active at Peninsula Baptist Church in Mooresville and loved spending time with her grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bruce H. Alexander; and daughter, Ann Alexander Stowe. She is survived by her children, Katy Smith and husband, Jerry and Hollis Alexander and wife, Deb; son-in-law, Craven Stowe and wife, Brenda; sister, Marcile Sansbury; brother, Benjamin Perkins; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 25, at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Dr. Robert Jackson and David Simon officiating. Burial will follow the service at Prospect Presbyterian Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Peninsula Baptist Church Building Fund, 687 Brawley School Rd., Mooresville, NC 28117. Cavin-Cook Funeral Home, Mooresville, is serving the Alexander family. Condolences may be made to the family at www.cavin-cook.com.
