Ruth Childers MOORESVILLE Ruth Lowe Childers, 78, of Mooresville, passed away Sunday, March 18, 2012, at Lake Norman Regional Medical Center. She was born May 8, 1933, in Mooresville, to the late Emory and Mary Brown Lowe. Mrs. Childers was a member of Fieldstone Presbyterian Church in Mooresville. She was an avid reader, baker, and wonderful storyteller. She was a kind, caring, spirited woman who was a mother to many. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brother, William "Sonny" Lowe, and grandson, Jason Mills. She is survived by her husband, Flake J. Childers; children, Michael Childers and wife, Ann, and Karen Mills and husband, Ed, all of Mooresville; sisters, Beatrice Childers and Helen Collins; grandchildren, Chris Mills, Jennifer Childers, Eric Childers, and Amy Limon and husband, Kevin; and great-granddaughter, Madelyn Limon. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. today, March 21, at Fieldstone Presbyterian Church with Rev. Larry Green officiating. Burial will follow the service at Glenwood Memorial Park. The family received friends Tuesday, March 20, from 6 to 8 p.m., at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home.
