Carolyn Hester Obituary

In loving memory of Carolyn Sue Hester (Susie or Sue), born on Sept. 24, 1940, passed away peacefully on March 17, 2025 surrounded by her family.
She married her high school sweetheart Ray Edward Hester on Aug. 22, 1959. They were married for over 65 years.
Growing up in Coalfield, TN., and graduating from Coalfield High School. She went on to graduate from National Business College. She is a long-time member of Pine Ridge Baptist Church where she served the Lord with joy and gladness. She treasured being a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She was preceded in death by parents, Ambrose and Vada Christopher and AC Christopher and wife Sue; brother-in-law, Paul Robinson; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Rhea and Edna Hester; and sisters-in-law, Kay Hester and Norma Hester.
She is survived by her husband, Edward Hester; son, Jeff Hester (Lisa); daughters, Lisa H. Chambers (Charley), Eva H. Rather (Keith) and Suzanne Worsham (Chaz); grandchildren, Jordan H. Grundy (Nathan), Lance Hester (Hannah), Laura Chambers, Clark Chambers, Brian Rather (Kate), Wesley Rather (Kayla), Andrew Worsham and Claire Worsham; great-grandchildren, Reid Grundy, Augusta Grundy, Macy Hester, Jeffrey Hester, Olivia Hester, Reese Rather, Tatum Rather and Hayes Rather.
Services will be held at Pine Ridge Baptist Church, 151 Edwards Road Harriman, TN. 37748, on Friday, March 21, 2025 at 1 p.m.
Arrangements made by Jackson Funeral Home.
