Barbara Ann Hertzig Kanzleiter, 81, of Morganton, NC, passed away Saturday, August 23, 2025.
Born in Pittsburgh, Pa. on March 28, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Robert Hertzig and Lavern Oswald Hertzig.
Barbara was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who loved to play bingo, beach trips, and tanning in the sun.
Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Kenny Kanzleiter (Mandie Duckworth); daughter, Kim Beck; grandchildren, Olivia Kanzleiter, Van Kanzleiter, Caitlin Beck, Kevin Beck, Laiton Duckworth, Branson Duckworth, and Kayla Jackson (Josh); great-grandchild, Mary Ella Jackson; brother, Robert Hertzig (Mary Ann); and sister, Sue Luffy (Ken).
In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Leo Kanzleiter.
A funeral Mass will be held at 4 p.m. on Friday, August 29, 2025 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church with Fr. Kenneth Whittington officiating. Visitation will follow in Murray Hall.
