March 3, 1931 - February 7, 2023
Billie Gray Shuffler, 91, of Morganton, N.C., died Tuesday, February 7, 2023 following a period of declining health.
Born on March 3, 1931, he was a son of the late Lonnie Lee Shuffler and Sadie Gertrude Smyre Shuffler. In addition to his parents, Billie was preceded in death by siblings, Isabell Setzer, Jeannie Shuffler, Evelyn Leaf, Ann Crytz, Jack Shuffler, Lee Shuffler, and Lonnie "Dude" Shuffler.
Billie worked as a cost accountant for Drexel Heritage and was a veteran of the US Air Force.
Mr. Shuffler is survived by his wife of 66 years, Betty Benton Shuffler; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial for Mr. Shuffler will be held Sunday, June 4, 2023, at Quaker Meadows Presbyterian Church, 2698 NC-181, Morganton, immediately following the 11 a.m. worship service.
