Gregory Lynn Cuthbertson, 57, of Morganton, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, Aug. 1, 2021.
He was born July 6, 1964, in Burke County, the son of Nell Powell Cuthbertson and the late Lester "Dick" Cuthbertson. Greg was a graduate of Freedom High School and Western Piedmont Community College. He was employed at VanGuard Furniture as a chemical finishing specialist. He was an active member of Zion Baptist Church, an excellent golfer, and avid Dallas Cowboys fan. He loved the outdoors, especially Linville River where he lived for many years.
In addition to his mother, Greg is survived by his wife, Rhonda Ebright Cuthbertson; son, Christopher Cuthbertson (Ceara); stepdaughter, Diamond Brooks Pugalee; stepgranddaughter, Scottie Grace Pugalee; sister, Kim Cuthbertson Dean (Darrell); nephew, Trey Lloyd Dean; and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 5 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 5, at Zion Baptist Church. The memorial service will follow at 5 p.m., in the church, with the Rev. Keith Rose and Dr. Ralph May officiating.

Greg has been gone 2 years. Hard to believe life can change in an instant. Greg, Tony, Buddy, Anna and Kim, Darrell and Renee were like cousins to me even though we weren´t related. Nell and Dick, Ruby and Arnold was my adopted family.
Knowing that Greg and most of the family is not here on the earth anymore is the weirdest feeling ever. Thank God that it´s all temporary. Stay strong "Auntie" Nell. There is a reunion coming that the heavens cannot contain. Many hugs on his anniversary
