Mr. Johnny Allen Wright, 55, of Valdese, passed away Monday, Feb. 20, 2023, at his residence, after a period of declining health.
Mr. Wright was born Sept. 14, 1967, in Avery County, a son of Martha Stewart Wright and the late Jimmy Wright.
Before his illness, he was formally employed with Ellis Hosiery as a dye-house tub technician. Johnny was a very loving husband, father, and grandfather.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Angel Nicole Wright.
Those left to cherish his memory are his mother, Martha Stewart Wright, his wife, Tammy Cook Wright; two daughters, Ashley Lee (Eric), and Sarah Carter (Nick); goddaughter, Audrianna Moses, all of Valdese; two brothers, Jerry Wright (Jennifer), and Chester Wright (Beth); and a special nephew, Tyler Smith. Also surviving are his grandchildren, Carson Carter, Nevaeh Carter, and Josie Abercrombie; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Johnny Allen Wright will be held Friday, Feb. 24, at 12 p.m., in the Chapel of Heritage Funeral Service, with the Rev. Joe Dempsey and the Rev. Randell Honeycutt officiating. Interment will follow in the Hillcrest Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 23, at Heritage Funeral Service.

He was such a good husband to my sister and a great brother n law that loved his family he was funny and made you laugh he will be greatly missed he sure loved his grandchildren and any child he was around
