Missing your beautiful smile.

Mike considering I enjoyed the many wonderful times we spent together I really can't decide what im gonna miss about you most....your sincere laugh that was so honest it made my soul fill with happiness, or the wisdom and ambition you spoke that made me look at life in whole different way. Im really gonna miss you Mike! I seen Griffin for the first time today....he's fantastic! And just like we promised each other a long time ago, "I'll watch out for you", so Samantha will always have a friend in me. But, I know I'll see you again one day....and yes don't worry I'll cook you your favorite.."Stuffed Chicken & Cheese", just as long as you bring the Red Stripe bro! God bless and I love you. Jason S. To Michael's brothers and sister,
I have been unable to gather my words of deep compassion for you until now. Michael was a dear friend to first my son, Marcus Good, then later continued that relationship with my daughter, Adrienne Ross. Never allow anyone to tell Michael was alone that morning. I know, neither were Marcus and Adrienne. In that very last moment God was present and Jesus wept with us. He felt our grief of loss but shared in their in their happiness in the presence of the Lord God. We miss everything about them - the happy moments and the sad moments - but continue to share all that Michael meant to you to others and celebrate his life - never to be forgotten.
Adrienne's father and your mother grew up together. Your grandparents, Carl and Margarite, were his parents best friends. At one time long before Michael was born, Adrienne's great-grandma Ross lived with Carl and Margarite in the house on Erwin ST, I think that was the name of the street. Years later my office of 24 years, was a half block away when Michael and Marcus were children and Adrienne was just a baby. I use to turn up that street daily and I remember seeing boys playing in the yard and on the street. Now I know one of them must have been Michael. I only wished I had put all this together when Adrienne and Michael were still able to talk about how two families unknowingly managed to continue a very long, long friendship. Adrienne would have called it another "God qwinkie-dink" and laugh because she knew God was really watching.
I know all 3 of them are united and laughing and playing while God ever watches. God bless you and your familes and never let go of your faith because that is all we really have.

Michael, I should have stopped you from walking out that door. I just knew you would be right back. I can't begin to describe the pain I feel and will forever endure the rest of my life. All I can hope for is that your with me and Griffin, looking after us, you always made sure we were taken care of and put yourself last. I will never forget what you said to me, our kiss and the flowers you picked for me that day. I love you baby, Samantha

Mike,
If I only knew when we saw you in Winston that would be the last time I saw your smile or heard your laugh. You were so proud of bein a dad and we shared the parenthood stories. We had some great times and your son is absolutly beautiful. You were like a brother to me for some many years. I always felt safe when you were around. I knew you would watch out for me. Remember back in the day I would say where is Mike I haven't seen him in awhile. Then there you were in no time. You always showed up out of the blue. Now I know your here when the sun shines and when the wind blows. the other night when the street light went out as I went by I know that was you. I know you will be with all of us and now watch over us all. Tell Rachel hey and when you see her throw your hands up in the air and shake em while screaming ahhhhhhhhhh. Tell her thats from me. I love you Mike. . Till we meet again my friend.

Words can not express the sorrow I feel. I never imagined this would ever happen. We loved you so much. Your spirit will forever live on in all of us, especially Griffin.
You have gone, you have left me, why did you go away?
I've tried to figure out, what I could have done that day.
But nothing could change destiny, no one is to blame.
And this so called life I'm living, will never be the same.
So many things left unsaid, and things I didn't do
But as long as I have memory, I will always remeber you...Callie Sanders Thornton...those words say what I feel.
Rest in Peace my dear brother, and know that I will miss you forever.
Your loving sister

Samantha,
You and the boys will always be close to my heart. Michael was a good friend to both Adrienne and Marcus, especially Adrienne. The 3 of them are rejoicing together before God and we shall continue to celebrate their lives by telling all the happiness they brought into our lives. I love you very much.

I have this feeling
there's one more star
up in the sky tonight.
And even though its far away,
its brightness and warmth
still reach us here
to make the night
a little less dark.
