Ronnie Connelly Obituary
December 7, 1953 - February 2, 2022
Ronnie Hugh Connelly, 68, of Morganton, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 2, 2022.
Born in Alexandria, La., Dec. 7, 1953, he was the son of James Hugh Connelly and the late Melda Mae Ollis Connelly. Ronnie graduated from Lee McRae in 1974, with an Associate in Science, Appalachian State with a Bachelor in Business Administration with a minor in accounting, and attended CVCC and Western Piedmont for training in computer technologies.
Those left to cherish Ronnie's memory include his wife of 39 years, Marsh Ann Mullis Connelly; his father; brother, Myke Connelly (Kristy); sister, Susan McClelland (Mike); special nephew, Nicolas Kummer; numerous other nieces and nephews; and his special friends, Ed Stegal, Lavonda Mullis Fink, Howard Mullis (Andrea), Eric Wayne and Melanie Mullis.
In addition to his mother, Ronnie was preceded in death by his son, Cliffton Hugh Connelly.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 12, at fellowship hall of First United Methodist Church. The memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., in the church fellowship hall, with the Rev. Dana McKim officiating. Entombment will follow in the church columbarium.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First United Methodist Church, 200 N King St., Morganton, NC 28655 for youth missions.
