Ruby Dula Obituary

Ruby Jewel Branch Dula, of Lenoir, NC, peacefully passed away on Sunday, August 10, 2025.

Ruby was born on October 11, 1948, to the late Charles and Fannie Navy Branch.

In addition to her parents, Ruby is preceded in death by the love of her life, Larry Wayne Dula and 11 siblings.

Ruby is survived by her children, Lisa McDonald (Kim) of the home and Deric McDonald (Kim) of Hudson, NC; grandchildren, Morgan Ledford (Matt), Cody McDonald (Chelsey), Spencer McNeil; great grandchildren, McKinley McDonald and Rowan Ledford, and many nieces and nephews.

Ruby was devoted to her faith and loved the Lord. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother. Ruby was a caregiver for many years for several families. Ruby loved watching "The Andy Griffith Show" and eating moon pies.

Ruby was a wonderful person who never complained through her sickness.

Ruby suffered from Alzheimer's, Vascular Dementia, and Parkinson's Disease, in lieu, the family respectfully requests donations be made to any foundations related to those diseases in honor of Ruby.

A graveside service to honor Ruby's life will be held on Friday, August 15, 2025, at 3 p.m. with Chaplain Stephanie Pace officiating, at Philadelphia Baptist Church Cemetery, 7502 George Hildebran School Road, Connelly Springs, NC, 28612.

Evans Funeral Service is honored to serve the family of Ruby Jewel Branch Dula.
