Ruby King Taylor

Mrs. Ruby King Taylor, 80, of Lenoir, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2008 at Lenoir Health Care following a period of declining health. Mrs. Taylor was born Jan. 26, 1928, in Caldwell County to the late John Robey King and Zora Ella Nelson King. She was a member of Flemings Chapel Baptist Church and attended Spirit and Life Assembly Church and until her retirement had been employed by the Caldwell County Schools. She was a loving homemaker and a wonderful mother, grandmother great-grandmother and sister. In addition to her parents, Ruby was preceded in death by her husband, Dean Taylor and a sister, Shirley McElyea. Ruby is survived by her sons, Allan Dwain Taylor and wife Mavis and Dennis Ralph Taylor and wife Betty, both of Lenoir; a daughter, Belvarea Taylor Eller and husband Doug of Wilkesboro; grandchildren, Alana Taylor, Roberta Chandler and husband Christopher, and Allan Dean Taylor; great-grandchildren, Olivia Chandler and Zachary Mosley; brothers, Bronson King and wife Geneva and Benson King and wife Judy; sisters, Nina Loven and husband Sterling, Evelyn Pennington and husband Gerald, and Peggy Laxton and husband Ted. Funeral services for Ruby King Taylor will be held on Saturday at 3 p.m. at Flemings Chapel Baptist Church in Lenoir with the Revs. Bobby Roark and Doug Woody officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2 until 3 p.m. at Flemings Chapel Baptist Church.
