I remember our days in Sawyer Hall playing video games late night knowing we had class or Morning Workouts in a few short hours. We threw caution to the wind and played on anyway.

I remember you almost pulling out the win for us at Southern Miss and the plane ride back because you kept telling the Coaches, "I told you so!"

I remember you most as a friend, a teammate and a Brother!

Rest Well My Brother!

Words do very little to express the loss that this presents to all who knew Brent.

Big & Judy, I am so very sorry for your loss. Please know that I am at your disposal for anything that you might need. I pray for you, Chad, Terry, and your families.

The same guy who hated my guts our freshman year became my best friend, and likely the best friend to many. Our friendship grew stronger as the years went on.

My friendship with Brent is one of my life's true blessings.

I miss you already, brother- but I have some peace knowing that you are with Tracy and Lane; and that my dad has a fellow bearcat by his side on game day.

Rest in Peace.

My brother, homie and friend! I love you Pete

Nothing can describe the pain we all and I feel!
From moment we met and on our official visit to University of Cincinnati in Jan 1993 we bonded as brothers! We were neighbors and roommates! The nights playing video games, our dreams of setting school records with him at QB and me at WR, to making it big, to constant trash talk playing video games, playing basketball, on the practice field and even during games always pushing me to be better! When we both got to play football and basketball at UC it was a dream come true! And the competition and trash talk never ended between us as brothers! And the long drives from Cincy to ETown where’d Pete invite me home where Mama P and Papa P, Chud and Big T invited me into their home for holidays and vacations and loving me as if I was one of their own! To Pete having me to the ETown to hang with Uncle Mike, the family and grandparents at Gibbys on Friday nights to him taking me on tours of EC high and recalling plays he made many times and where he became a member of Hall of Fame in 2015!

Pete was a friend to anyone and everyone and when you were his friend you were FAMILY and he would defend, protect and talk trash to anyone who wasn’t!

There no words for the broken heart I have and I know we ALL share in Pete no longer being here physically but HE IS NEVER GONE in our memories, jokes, and hearts!
I love and will miss my brother and friend!
And I pray for Gods grace, love and comfort for Mrs Judy, Mr Craig, Chad and rest of the Petrus Family. For the Elyria Catholic HS family and our University of Cincinnati Bearcats football and basketball family!
