Dave Zeisler Obituary

Dave Zeisler found peace on January 30, 2017, at his home in Plano, Texas.
Dave was born on July 4, 1951 in Cleveland, Ohio to Joseph and Rosemary (Nimrichter) Zeisler.
Dave moved with his parents to Avon, Ohio in 1954. He attended Avon Elementary School and graduated from Avon High School in 1969. While there, he participated in football and excelled in art. He always described his childhood in Avon as a "Norman Rockwell experience".
Dave attended and graduated from the Pittsburg School of Aeronautics, November 9, 1971, with an Associate's Degree in Specialized Technology. Following graduation, he joined the U. S. Air Force. He served from March 1972 through March 1978 achieving the rank of Staff Sergeant. SSgt Zeisler received numerous awards including the Air Force Commendation Medal for "outstanding accomplishments in identifying test station problems, verifying and improving technical data, training inexperienced personnel both in the classroom and on an individual basis, and establishing a viable historical file for line replaceable units". Employed by several companies, he then went to work for Electronic Data Systems Corporation (EDS) serving as a Service Delivery Manager for the next 20 years. He retired and continue to work as a consultant for a variety of companies until his death. During this time, he was employed as an Avionics Instructor at the Aviation Institute, Dallas, Texas. Dave was also an active member of the Project Management Institute (PMI). At PMI, he assisted in the development of PMI programs and was an instructor for their career development programs.
Dave will forever be remembered for his kindness and compassion. He never had a bad word to say about anyone. He would be the first to lend a hand when needed and the last to leave. He led by example. His actions were quiet, not seeking accolades, but self-satisfaction in knowing the good things he had done.
Dave is survived by his loving sister, Kathleen (Zeisler) and Mike Powers (husband), and loving brother Joe Zeisler.
He is superseded in death by his loving parents Rosemary (Nimrichter) and Joseph Zeisler.
Please join us in a Celebration of Life for Dave, Sunday, July 2, 2017 from noon-?, at his brother's, Joseph Zeisler's home. Call 440-289-0976 for directions.
Dave requested that any donations be sent to a veteran's organization.

Lynn and I were blessed to have known and worked with Dave at Bitburg AB Germany. He indeed was a great guy and very intelligent as well. Very friendly and easy going, he visited us here in Ohio after we discharged from the Airforce. Very sorry to just find out about his passing.
Blessings to his brother.

So sorry to hear of Dave's passing. Though it has been many years since I knew him at Avon High, I always remembered him as a kind gentleman. To Kathleen and Joe, my deepest regrets. May God give you strength and direction at this difficult time.
