David Hunger Obituary
He leaves behind his wife Hwi Ling; daughter Margaret; son Owen; father and mother Charles and Margaret; brothers Charles C. and Lyle T.; and sister Rebecca. He grew up in Kent, Ohio and graduated from Theodore Roosevelt High School in 1976, where he played on the basketball team and ran cross country. David graduated from the United States Merchant Marine Academy in 1980. While at the Academy he played on the basketball team and was co-captain his senior year. After his graduation from the Academy, he worked in the shipping business traveling around the globe, working with port facilities worldwide. He was awarded the CSX Award of Excellence in 1992. David was a true warrior, the best of the best, and will be greatly missed. May he rest in peace. "For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith." II Timothy 4: vs. 6 & 7.
There will be a private family memorial service at a later date. In lieu of flowers, David requested that you do something nice for someone.
