My mom has been gone for just over a year now and not a single day has gone by where I didn't think of her. I miss her so much. The tears streaming down my face as I type this are evidence of that. I take comfort in thinking that she is with her mom, dad, Sister Carmel and now Brother Gene having a big family reunion. She was a loving and kind woman who was beautiful both inside and out. I believe I'm a better mom and person because of her.
I love you Mama!

The donations mentioned in the obituary are for children's books only, please. Public schools may be unable to receive monetary donations. My mother was a children's librarian and loved the library at Harrison Elementary. A rose garden outside the library was dedicated in her name when she retired. The library was very special to her. Thank you, everyone, for your kind thoughts. Nancy Hermann, Tulsa, OK

My mother was the type who at gatherings would still be cooking while others were feasting, would be rocking a sick child while others were sleeping and in the garden, would still be planting while others were resting. Mom would simply not quit until a project was done. And her job raising seven children was never ending. This is why it was so hard for her to let go. We still need her daily and my heart breaks at this time of her parting...
