To Betty's beloved family,

I offer my sympathy and condolences. I got to know Betty when she joined the NOACA Governing Board as a Lorain County Commissioner. She eventually became President of the Board and served on many of the NOACA committees. Betty was well-respected for her leadership, practical advice, and unwavering support of Lorain County. Her efforts were so highly regarded by the entire organization that she was the recipient of NOACA's Walter Ehrnfelt Award for regional contributions.

As executive director, I got to know Betty on a personal basis and thoroughly enjoyed our many conversations about family, faith, and government. Her great knowledge and love of Lorain County was an inspiration to all of us who worked with her.

I hope her memory brings some comfort and pride to you.

Sincerely,

Howard Maier

Marna, Saddened to hear of your Mothers passing. She was a great lady and a friend. Will always remember working with her as a Building Trades member while she was a Commisioner . She always had an open door and a smile. She will be missed.
