As a young man just out of engineering school Elsie became my "work mom" during my nearly 14 years at Lorain Products Corp. For many of those years she helped build the prototype equipment that my fellow engineers and I had designed. She was always quick to recognize and point out needed changes in mechanical assembly that would benefit the manufacturing process once the unit was turned over to the assembly plant. One memory of her that will never leave my mind is the day I stood beside her in the prototype shop as we listened intently to the overhead speaker blasting out the network news that our president, John F Kennedy, had just been assassinated. In disbelief I stood next to her at her workstation while tears rolled down our cheeks listening to news that was unimaginable. Elsie and I bonded that day and I shall never forget her. Forever rest in the arms of our Lord dear friend.

Carol. So sorry of the passing of your mom. I remember so well her & my mom walking home over the tracks from LPC. She was such a sweet lady.
