Eric P. Tillman, 47, of Elyria Township, died Sunday April 9, 2017 from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.
He was born October 17, 1969 in Lorain and had been a lifelong Elyria Township/Lorain area resident.
Eric graduated from Lorain High School in 1988 and attended the MIT Technical School in Cleveland where he earned an engineering degree.
Eric worked for Tyco Retail Solutions for 22 years as a district manager & project manager providing security systems.
He enjoyed scuba diving and Lake Erie adventures with his brothers Mike, John and Tom and daughter Malaina, boating, writing music, fishing, motorcycles, fixing things and the July 4th holiday. He enjoyed his work at his job and always strove to do well. He loved his children, family and dogs Sam & Ginger.
He is survived by his wife of 3 years Cindy Tillman (nee Nichols); daughters: Malaina Tillman, of Amherst, Mareana Tillman of Elyria and Makiah Tillman of Amherst; stepdaughters: Melissa Koscho of Vermilion and Sarah Koscho of Elyria; Granddaughter, Aubrey Capocasa; sister Janet Grueser (Paul) of Elyria; brothers John Tillman (Patti) of Roswell, Georgia and Tom Tillman (Linda) of Lorain; sister-in- law Dianne Tillman (nee Jaworski) of Lorain; former wife Melissa Tillman (nee Stallard) of Elyria and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents John C. "Mike" Tillman and Eleanor "Honey) Tillman (nee DePalma) and brother Michael F. Tillman in 2016.
The family will receive friends Saturday April 22nd from 12:00 pm until 4:00 pm at the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave, Lorain.
Afterward, the family invites everyone to join them for a reception on Saturday at 5:00 pm at the Westlake Yacht Club at Spitzer Marina, 485 California Ave, Lorain.
