Mr T or T-bone, was my 6th grade homeroom teacher. He was a character and one of those educators that we all remember well. Everybody has a story that usually brings a smile or a chuckle. Thank you for serving our country and our community, and thank you for the memories. My thoughts are with your family. My heartfelt condolences.

George, you are a great guy, it was my pleasure to know you. My condolences to your family.

I learned to play tennis at Oakwood Park in the early 70's. Trbo was a regular player along with a bunch of other guys in South Lorain. Some of the best tennis players in the city played on those courts during that time and George held his own.

There was never a better guy to hang out with than Trbo, he was just plain cool. I didn't have Trbo for a teacher but I learned a lot from him anyway. He was educated about everything and was a great friend.

RIP George.

Mr. T was my 5th grade teacher at Mason Elementary in Lorain and he was by far, one of my most memorable. While I had only few occasions to associate with Mr. T as an adult, I'm sorry I never told him the positive impact he made on me as a young girl. He always had wonderful stories to tell in his teachings and fascinating excerpts from his many travels around the world. And yes, I remember hearing about his exceptional tennis skills demonstrated summer after summer at Oakwood Park! My deepest condolences go to his family. I am privileged to have had the enriching experience of being one of Mr. T's students.

I'm sorry to hear the news of "Mr. T's" passing. I've thought about him many times. He was a fun and interesting teacher. After reading the obituary and condolences, I realize he was much more than what I could comprehend as a sixth grader. You were a good guy. My thoughts are with you and your family at this time.

Many good memories of George from back in the early 60's. I would watch him play great tennis with Fritz, Ernie and Dave Kuhn at Oakwood. I was 12 then and George bought us kids fudgsicles when the ice cream man came around with his bike. George was lots of laughs and I am so sorry I never connected with him after I left Lorain. My " BABA " Majzun was good friends with his mother.
R I P dear friend.....Viva South Lorain.

Terby was my teacher in about 1973 at Avon. That was one of the best classes I ever had and we had so much fun. I don't know how he put up with us, but he did, day after day. This news saddens me, but I pray for Mr. Trbovich's eternal soul.

Of all of my teachers, I remember Mr. Trbovich as having the most positive impact on me. He shared his lunch with me one day as I was working on a last minute school project. He taught me how to catch a soft ball. He taught all 3 of my older siblings, all of whom said how cool he was. They were right. He will be missed.
