Isabelle Zgonc Obituary
Visitation will be held at the Busch Funeral Home, 32000 Detroit Rd., Avon, OH 44011, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, September 28.
The funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 29, at the chapel of Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, 708 Erie St., Grafton, OH 44044 (meet at church). Father John Seabold will be officiating. Burial will follow the funeral at St. Joseph Cemetery, 32789 Detroit Rd., Avon, OH 44012.
Isabelle was born in Elyria, OH, on March 8, 1947. She graduated from Keystone High School and continued on to receive an associate's degree from Lorain County Community College and completed courses at The Ohio State University and Cleveland State University.
Isabelle was married to Joseph (Joe) N. Zgonc on May 24, 1969; they have been married 49 years.
Isabelle worked as a kindergarten and first grade teacher for the Keystone Local School District and as a home health aide. She enjoyed playing piano, singing, dancing, reading, refinishing furniture and spending time with her family. She was actively involved in Newcomers' Singers in Birmingham, AL, and as a member of the University of Alabama Senior Choir, she participated in singing the national anthem during a 1996 Olympic soccer game as well as performing in Carmina Burana for a professional ballet company.
Isabelle is survived by her beloved husband, Joe; son, Joseph L. (Heather); daughter, Christina Sent (George); four grandchildren; sister, Kathy Neiding; and sister-in-law, Ann Moyer (John).
Isabelle is preceded in death by her parents, Olga and Lester Kolozy.
Memorial donations may be given to LIFE Butler County, 231 West Diamond St., Butler, PA 16001.

Our deepest belated sympathy to the Zgonc family. I have been trying to find Isabelle and Joe for a couple of years. I just googled her name again and saw the sad news. Our family was very fond of Isabelle- what a wonderful loving and fun woman! My parents, Mike and Marian Gorski, passed a couple of summers ago. My mom really missed Isabel when she left the area.

Isabelle; I tried to find you for several years but was unsuccessful. I wish I could have found you before seeing your obituary. I remember the good times we had with Phil and Joe and when we visited you in Birmingham. Sorry we lost touch. We met while you were living in Westlake. May you rest in peace.

Miss Isabelle was a beautiful lady and we will truly miss her. She spoiled my boys with holiday treats, and she always kept a watchful eye on them playing in our yard. And the chats she and I had - those are memories that will always bring a smile to my face. What a joy and blessing it has been to have Miss Isabelle in our lives. Jeremy, Cooper, Griffin and I send our love and prayers to the entire Zgonc family.
