Jeanette "Inky" Flontek

Lorain: Jeanette "Inky" Flontek (nee Los), 88, of Lorain, died Tuesday April 11, 2023 at Amherst Manor Nursing Home.She was born October 1, 1934 in Lorain and had been a lifelong Lorain resident. Inky attended St Stanislaus School and graduated from Lorain High School in 1952. She worked at Gold Circle in the cash office for over 10 years before retiring.Inky was an active member of St Stanislaus Catholic Church in Lorain where she sang in the choir, served as a Eucharistic Minister, was president of the Altar & Rosary Society and ran bingo. Upon her church's closing, she joined at Nativity BVM Catholic Church in Lorain where she was a member of the Altar & Rosary Society and served as a Eucharistic Minister. Inky was also an active volunteer at the St Joseph Food Pantry and Lorain Community Hospital where she also served as a Eucharistic Minister. She enjoyed traveling, polka dancing and going to plays. She was a member of the United Polish Club in Elyria, the Polish American Citizens Club in Lorain and the Lorain Seniors. She is survived by her children: Debra Ardo (Paul) of Lorain, Mitchell Flontek (Debbie) of Iron Station, North Carolina and Yvonne Allinder of South Haven, Mississippi; grandchildren: Heather Aschemeier (Jason), Justin Pabon (Mary), Amanda Crofoot (Alex), twins Zachary & Benjamin Flontek and Scott Allinder (Lauren); great grandchildren: Hannah and Ava Aschemeier, Hudson Pabon and Chase Matthai. She was preceded in death by her husband of 38 years Peter Flontek in 1992, parents Joseph & Mary Los (nee Rogusz), brothers: Edward, Walter & John Los and Stanley Szafran and sister Cassie Repko.Private family services will be held with the Rev Craig Hovanec, pastor of Nativity BVM Catholic Church, presiding and burial in Calvary Cemetery in Lorain. Memorial contributions can be made to the Alzheimer's Association or St Jude Childrens Hospital.
