John F. Kerekes

ELYRIA John F. Kerekes age 82, formerly of Elyria; passed away peacefully during Easter week on April 25, 2014 in Lynchburg, VA following a long illness; dear father of Linda Kerekes of Strongsville, Brenda Mooney (Sam) of Argyle, Texas and Diedra Kerekes of Wellington, New Zealand; loving grandfather of Hannah Mooney.
Cared by the wonderful staff at Avante of Lynchburg, he was an uncle and friend to many.
He was preceded in death by parents, Frank and Mary (nee Krozser) Kerekes; sisters Mary Hart, Anne Vargo, Grace Kerekes and Eleanor Price.
Former 36 year retiree of Ford Motor Company, Brookpark and U.S. Marine Corp. Korean Veteran, he enjoyed family, traveling and a love of cars.
A private memorial will be held at a later date. Contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, P.O. Box 74924, Cleveland, OH 44194-4924; or The Poor Clare Nuns, 3501 Rocky River Dr., Cleveland, OH 44111-2998.
