Kalvin Pugh Obituary
LORAIN - Kalvin Thomas Pugh, 65, of Lorain, passed away on Sunday, November 3, 2013 at his home surrounded by loving family and friends.
He was born August 25, 1948 in Cleveland, Ohio and had been a resident of Lorain for 22 years. He was a founding member of Designer's Original Ministries and was former member of Living Word Church, Greater Victory Christian Ministries, Cathedral of Praise, all of Lorain, and Mt. Liberty Baptist Church of Akron. Before retiring he worked at Lithonia Lighting in Vermilion, BF Goodrich in Akron, and Durkee Foods in Cleveland.
Kalvin was a US Air Force veteran and loved to play the organ, sing, write plays, and form men choirs.
He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 21 years, Pastor Ruth Ann (Calloway) Pugh; his daughter, Renea Canady of Dalton, Georgia; a sister, Carl Lee Moore of Cleveland; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
Kalvin was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Pugh and Willie Mae (Scott) Pugh; and a brother, James Lynn Carter.
Visitation will be held Thursday, November 7, 2013 from 7-9pm at Faith Ministries Christian Center, 1306 Euclid Ave, Lorain OH 44052, where visitation will also be held on Friday, November 8th from 10am until time of service at 11am. Elder Ray H. Robinson Jr. of Living Word Church will eulogize. Burial will follow in Resthaven Memory Gardens in Avon. Professional services entrusted to Brown-Robinson Funeral Home, 2652 Broadway Ave., Lorain OH 44052.

Kalvin was and will be an inspiration to me. He always had a smile upon his face.
Saw the world through different eyes.

Dear Ruth, I was greatly saddened to hear of the passing of my brother and friend. I hold you both in my heart as I was there 21 yrs ago when you met. What a Godly man Bro. Pugh was and still is. No matter what, you would always see a smile on Bro. Pugh's face. He is truly being held in God's arms now and will never be forgotten. Our deepest condolences go out to our good friend Elder Ruth Pugh and her entire family during this time of sorrow. We wish we could be there by your side Elder Pugh during this time as you where there by our side during the passing of my dad but please know you are in our thoughts and prayers over the many miles the distance has between us.
