Loretta Neal Obituary

OBERLIN - Loretta Anna Neal (nee Webber), 91, of Oberlin died January 15, 2012 peacefully at her home surrounded by her family.
She was born March 5, 1920 to the late Nicholas and Mayme (Justin) Webber, and lived her entire life in Oberlin. Loretta graduated from Oberlin High School with the class of 1938. She worked at the Varsity Restaurant and for the Oberlin News Tribune. She married Arthur Neal on August 31, 1940, and together they built a house on Oberlin Road where they raised their family.
She was involved with the American Cancer Society for many years helping with the flower sales and auctions. She was also involved with the Oberlin Senior Center, AARP, Farm Women's Club and the Altar and Rosary Society of Sacred Heart Catholic Church of which she was a member.
Loretta's hobbies were crafts, ceramics, cards and coloring black and white portraits. She was also an accomplished baker as to which her recipients could attest. Her greatest joy was caring for her family.
She is survived by her daughter Sandra (Al) Pasadyn of Wellington; sons, Jim Neal (Nancy) of Hudson, Tom (Lillian) Neal of Amherst and Terry (Jeanie) Neal of Fishers, IN; 15 grandchildren: Michelle (Tony) Foy, Laurie (Mike) Brubaker, Aaron (Jen) Pasadyn, Jason (Stephanie), Michael, Steve and Kevin McClean, Megan, Emily, Matt and Connor Neal, Jessica Clinton, Ryan Neal, Kristen (Drew) Allen and Lindsey (John) Hoinowski; 14 great-grandchildren: Chase (Jen), Justin and Derek Belza, Morgan Foy, Jordan (Alana) and Emily Brubaker, Paige, Peyton and Paris Pasadyn, Braden, Marley and Liam McClean, Noah Clinton and Blake Allen. Loretta was also anticipating the birth of another grandchild and the birth of her first great-great -grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband Arthur in 1998, her daughter Donna McClean in 1989 and her brothers Donald and Lloyd Webber.
Visitation hours will be on Wednesday from 4-7PM at the Cowling Funeral Home, 228 S. Main St., Oberlin. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10AM Thursday at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 410 W. Lorain Rd., Oberlin, 44074 with Rev. Robert Cole as the celebrant. PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH. Burial to follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Elyria.
