Mary Paula Steadman SANDUSKY — Mary Paula Steadman, 73, of Sandusky, passed away early Monday evening, April 22, 2013, at the Concord Care Nursing Home, Sandusky after a lengthy illness. She was born on August 5, 1939 in Sandusky, the daughter of the late Claude and Ruth Elizabeth (Wall) Steadman. She was a 1957 graduate of St. Mary's High School and a 1961 graduate of St. John College, in Cleveland, where she received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Paula was a Registered Nurse having worked, in her earlier days, at Providence Hospital and later went on to work at the Erie County Health Department for over 20 years, before retiring. She was a member of Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, the Altar Rosary Society, a former board member of Cancer Services of Erie County and she had volunteered for a variety of other local charities throughout the years Paula is survived by her friends and neighbors, Ted and Florence Schaffer of Sandusky; a cousin, Marjorie Pooch of Castalia; and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents. Visitation will be held Wednesday afternoon, April 24, 2013, from 4-6 p.m. at the David F. Koch Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 520 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky. Prayers will be recited Thursday morning, April 25, 2013, at 9:40 am at the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 510 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky. Fr. Jason Kahle officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Sandusky.
