Our condolences and prayers for Coach Amodio and his family! Sadly, we just learnd today, 2/27/17, of Coach's passing. Coach came to St. Procopius College for the '63-'64 school year and upgraded the student-athlete culture significantly! When he learned I was an English major who hadn't read Cyrano de Bergerac, he personally took me to the school library to borrow that classic. He was my most valuable role model, as I eventually chose teaching and coaching as a career path. Wonderful memories of a model gentleman who could lead calmly, clearly, and effectively. My Proco teammates will be very saddened to learn of his passing . . . but very grateful for his lasting impact! Rest in peace, Coach!!

High school was many years ago, but back then I was honored (and excited) to be selected as Coach Amodio's student secretary at Clearview High School in Lorain, Ohio. Coach always made me very special and was most encouraging to me as a person. He "taught" me to be proud of what I could do and not what I couldn't do. He challenged me in the many jobs he would give...I always accepted his challenges. He encouraged me to go to college. I did so attending and graduating from his alma mater Kent State University.

Over the years we communicated off and on, but never did we have the chance to get together. I would have hoped he would have been proud of the young girl that he encouraged to do more with her life than she ever expected she would do.

I will miss you coach, but I know you will be looking down over me and will continue to encourage me that I can always do better. I will try coach....I will try!

I just heard this morning that Paul had passed away. I played football for him at Clearview. He was a great man and an even better coach. The guys on our team really loved playing for him. I am sorry I did not get to see him but I had been told that he had moved to Florida. Patty I am just over in Hudson and if you need anything just call.
