Phyllis Marie Kirschner Dellefield

Phyllis ""Feef"" Marie Kirschner Dellefield (nee: Miller), 90 years of age, passed away Tuesday, February 14, 2017, under hospice care at her home at AbbeWood in Elyria.
She was born March 19, 1926, in Amherst, Ohio where she resided until May of 2016 when she moved to AbbeWood. Feef graduated from Central High School in Amherst, attended Miami University and Baldwin Wallace University.
She was employed as a substitute teacher for Amherst School Systems for ten years. Feef was a lifetime member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Amherst. She was an active member and taught Sunday School. Feef loved people and enjoyed making them laugh. She cherished her role as a homemaker who loved cooking, cleaning and filleting fish, craft making and spending time with her family.
Survivors include her husband of thirteen years Ray Dellefield; her sons Mark Kirschner (Priscilla), John Kirschner (Cheryl), David Kirschner (Christine); nine grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren; her sister Doris Barr of Columbus, her stepdaughters Barbara, Marybeth and Amy, plus numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her first husband of forty-nine years Herman B. Kirschner; her parents Franklin and Christine Miller (nee: Grusey); and her sister Ruth Steinhaus Wells.
Friends may call Friday, February 17, 2017, from 4-7 p.m. at the Hempel Funeral Home; 373 Cleveland Ave., Amherst. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church; 115 Central Drive, Amherst, Ohio. An opportunity for viewing will be possible from 10 am until the time of service at the church. The Rev. Gary Bernath, will officiate. Burial will follow at Brownhelm Cemetery, Vermilion.
