Rita Mitchell Obituary
Rita co-owned the Ben Franklin store in Avon Lake from 1960-1980 with her late husband, Edward. She belonged to of St. Joseph Parish. She enjoyed gardening, reading, and wintering in Florida.
She is survived by her sons Ed Jr. (Dee), Dale (Linda), Terry (Kathleen), Jeff (Debra), and Larry (Barb) Mitchell; 14 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; sister Marian Kral and brother Ken Kowalski.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Mitchell; daughters Suzanne and Linda Louise Mitchell; and aunt Helen Colley.
A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Joseph Church, 32929 Lake Rd., Avon Lake on Saturday, June 2 at 10:00 am. Rev. Timothy J. O'Connor will officiate. Inurnment will take place at a later date.
Because of her love of schnauzers, memorial contributions can be made to Love-A-Stray Animal Rescue, P.O. Box 125, Avon Lake, OH 44012, or St. Joseph Parish School (at above address). www.buschfuneral.com.

I just now came across the notice. My condolences to the Mitchell family. My mother Henrietta worked at Ben Franklin many, many years ago. I remember running around the store when my dad would pick her up from work, or helping her put things away. So sorry for your loss
