Roberto Rodriguez Sr., 56, of Lorain, passed away Wednesday, March 21, 2012 in Cleveland Clinic following a lengthy illness.
He was born October 18, 1956 in Lorain and moved to San Lorenzo, Puerto Rico when he was three. He returned to Lorain in 1990.
Mr. Rodriguez was a self-employed contractor. He worked in the construction trades for over 37 years. He was a member of Iglesia De Dios Pentecostal Ebenezer, Lorain.
He will be dearly missed by his wife of 4 and a half years, Sonia C. Saez Rodriguez, of Lorain; sons Javier Rodriguez, of Whiting, Indiana and Roberto Rodriguez Jr., of Cleveland; daughters Ivelisse Rodriguez, of Hammond, Indiana and Vanessa Rivera, of Chicago, Illinois; his parents Hermongenes and Isidra Rodriguez, of San Lorenzo; brothers Gilberto, Nelson, Hector and Martin Rodriguez, all of San Lorenzo, William Rodriguez, of W. Palm Bay, Florida and Daniel Rodriguez, of Lorain; sisters Maria De Los Angeles, Cecilia, Glady, Evelyn and Maribel Rodriguez, all of San Lorenzo and Maria Rodriguez, of Lorain; his grandmother Tomasa Rodriguez, of Lorain and eleven grandchildren.
His family will receive friends Friday from 4 p.m. until time of service at 7 p.m. in Iglesia De Dios Pentecostal Ebenezer, 3660 Globe Avenue, Lorain. Where his funeral service will be Saturday at 10 a.m. Reverend William Rios, Pastor will officiate. Burial will follow in Ridge Hill memorial Park, Amherst Township.
