Steven L. Henderson

1959 - 2022

Steven Louis Henderson, of Lorain, transitioned on December 18, 2022 from a lengthy illness. He was born on March 11, 1959 to Elizabeth Henderson and Louis Porter in Bay Village, Ohio.He was a lifelong resident of Lorain, Ohio. He graduated from Lorain High School in 1978 and was an athlete in the field of football, basketball, and track. He served in the U.S. Army for four years. He worked several years as a meat cutter for Fligner's Market and worked many years at the Elyria Foundry.Steven loved to cook on the grill, spend time with family and friends, and attending church services at Renewal & Deliverance Outreach Ministries. He also enjoyed having big Sunday dinners, watching sports, and traveling to see the Cleveland Browns play football. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Margaret Henderson; his children, Steven Sr. (Tamika) and Stephen (Barbara) of Louisville Kentucky, Dalandrious, Haylee, Michel'le, Andre'A and Vanessa of Lorain; 20 grandchildren; his brothers, Duane and Rodney of Cleveland, Willis, Keith and Gilbert of Lorain and a host of other relatives.Steven was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Gertrude & Charles Revel; paternal grandmother Mamie Porter; his parents, Elizabeth (née Revel) Henderson and Louis Porter; his sister, Laureen Henderson, and his brother, Lance Henderson The family will hold a memorial service at a later date.Online at www.brownrobinsonfuneralhome.com
