Thelda Carius Obituary
Thelda was a homemaker, a member of the Congregational Church of Berea and a member of the Pythian Sisters the auxiliary of the Knights of Pythias. Her favorite hobbies were knitting and crocheting, creating afghans for each family member as well as for friends and charity.
Thelda is survived by her children Karen Clawson (Gary), of Avon Lake and Alan Carius (Mary Ann), of Hilliard; four grandchildren Amy, Heather, Jeffrey and Jennifer and seven great-grandchildren Alan, George, Caroline, Cody, Hannah, Evan and Emma. She is preceded in death by her husband of 76 years, Carl G. who passed away June 14, 2008; her parents Charles and Bessie (nee Bradley) Speck and four brothers and two sisters.
Friends may call the Busch Funeral Home, 163 Avon-Belden Rd., Avon Lake, Wednesday, September 19 from 4 to 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be at the Funeral Home, Thursday at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Nancy Manner of Lakeshore United Methodist Church will officiate. Interment will be at 2:15 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Park, Olmsted Township.

It was a blessing to have known Thelda for a few short yeart. She had a special sparkle that drew people to her, and a gracious and caring heart. May I offer my condolences to the family, and hope that you draw comfort in knowing she is a special angel watching over you.
