Theodore Balzer Obituary
Ted was born December 9, 1952, in Ft. Eustis, Virginia, to the late Jack G. and Janet R. (nee Jones) Balzer. He was a 1971 graduate of Southview High School. Ted worked in the steel industry as a millwright from 1973 to 2012. The joy of his life was spending time with his granddaughters. In the past he enjoyed bowling and playing softball.
Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Georgia L. (nee Flynn); his daughter, Rachael (Michael) Logsdon of Vermilion; his granddaughters, Alexis, Peyton, and Lauren Logsdon; brothers, Tim (Jen) Balzer of Nova and Mark Balzer of Lorain; sisters, Sandy White of Lorain and Linda (Robert) Stack of Vermilion.
The family will receive friends 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Garland-Misencik Funeral Home, 851 Park Avenue, Amherst. The funeral service will be 11 a.m., Friday, at the funeral home with burial following in Evergreen Cemetery in South Amherst.

Ted is the son of my brother Jack and sister-in-law Janet. Ted was blessed with wonderful parents and we were all blessed having Ted in our lives. The last time I saw Ted he told me it was fourth down and they would not let him punt. I look forward to the day we will meet again and will hold on to your memory until than.
