Amelia Pauline Lewis, 58 of Evanston, IL formerly of the Columbus/Oswego areas died Thursday August 1, 2013 at the St. Francis Hospital in Evanston, IL.
She was born October 2, 1954 in Melrose Park, IL the daughter of Clinton Carl and Paquita Marie Lewis.
Amelia was a graduate of Oswego High School and attended college at Pittsburg State University. She had been living the past few years in the Evanston, IL area.
She worked at a bank in Hanover Park, IL.
Amelia became ill in her early 20's and her condition worsened the past 5 years. In her younger years she was outgoing and the "life of the party". She had aspirations of becoming an actress or comedian. In her younger years she was involved in workshops at Second City in Chicago, IL.
Survivors include a sister Maurica Lane Hayward and husband Harry of Buffalo Grove, IL; a brother Michael Preston Lewis and wife Marylou of Spotsylvania, VA; a niece Andrea Lynn Diaz and husband Robert and their children Hannah, Derek and Vanessa all of Mililani, HI; nephew David Clinton Beyer of Dubuque, IA; niece Chelsea Giannetti and husband Brian of DesPlains, IL; niece Terra Lewis; nephew Michael Lewis Jr. and great-nephew Jonathon Lewis all of Virginia; niece Sarah Lewis and husband of Las Vegas, NV; niece Mary Beth Lewis and husband of Virginia and a great-niece Elizabeth.
Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Wednesday August 7, 2013 at the Bath-Naylor Funeral Home in Columbus with Reverend Justin Coberley officiating. Burial will follow in the McKee Cemetery.
