Charles Robert Vernetti
Frontenac - Charles Robert Vernetti 87 of Frontenac, KS died Wednesday, June 16, 2021 at the Oak View Estates in Frontenac, KS.
He was born December 8, 1934 the son of Jack and Lena (Mengori) Vernetti.
He married Angelene Nelson on April 25, 1981 and she preceded him in death on November 11, 2011.
He retired from the Kansas State Highway Department in 1998 after 30 years; his hobby was to care for his garden. Bob was a loving, caring person and he will be greatly missed.
Survivors include step-daughter Julie Nelson Bartley and her husband Bruce their sons Todd and Corey Bartley; nephews Steve Wilbert and Family, Gary Wilbert and Family, Brother in laws Frank (Joann) Crespino, and Bill (Pat) Crespino and their families.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Angelene, brother Albert Vernetti, Sister Marie (Vernetti) Wilbert, Stepson Dan Nelson, and Sister in law Tina Vernetti.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 2:30 pm June 18, 2021 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with Fr. Jerome Spexhearth as celebrant. Burial will follow in the Highland Park Cemetery in Pittsburg. Condolences may be left at www.bathnaylor.com . Services are under the direction of the Bath-Naylor Funeral Home 522 S. Broadway Pittsburg, KS.
