Connie Hagerty Obituary

Connie "Sue" Hagerty, 63 of Pittsburg died at 9:32 p.m. Wednesday March 25, 2015 at the Via Christi Hospital in Pittsburg.
She was born December 21, 1951 in Parsons, KS the daughter of Alva Earl and Elizabeth Ann (Smith) Evans. She has been a resident of Pittsburg nearly her entire life moving from Parsons with her family at the age of 5.
Connie attended St. Mary's Elementary School, Horace Mann Junior High and College High. Following High School she attended Pittsburg Business School and Cosmetology School.
She married John Hagerty on June 10, 1972 in Pittsburg, KS; he survives at the home.
Connie worked in Human Resources for the Sate of Kansas, and worked for the Census Bureau.
She was of the Catholic Faith, and had in the past attended Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. She was an avid softball player and in later years still enjoyed being around and assisting during softball tournaments.
Survivors include her husband John of the home; 2 daughters Michelle Vaughn and husband David of Wichita, Tatum Beckley and husband Jimmy of Frontenac; a son John Hagerty and wife Jessica of Neodesha; 2 brothers Raymond Evans of Lake Wales, FL, Rick Evans of Kansas City, MO; 2 sisters Katha Heckert of Pittsburg, Jackie Millington of Wellington; 7 Grandchildren-Peyton and Baylee Vaughn, Austin and Jata Beckley, Jillian, Grace and Preslee Hagerty; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Monday March 30, 2015 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Pittsburg with Father Adam Keiter as celebrant. Burial will follow in the Highland Park Cemetery. The parish rosary will be recited at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Bath-Naylor Funeral Home where the family will receive friends following until 4 p.m. Condolences can be sent to www.bathnaylor.com Memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or to Catholic Ministries. Memorials may be brought by or mailed to the Bath-Naylor Funeral Home 522 S. Broadway Pittsburg, KS 66762.

Oh my John I just found out about Sue, I am so very sorry. I have been thinking alot about all of you throughout the years, the fun times we shared & how blessed I am to of know you. My heart & prayers go out to you all. I know Sue is up in Heaven with my mom, how she loved you all & Jack Short.
