I just saw this on FB. I am not a big FB person, but had not seen posts from David. Therefore, I looked him up on FB and saw his obituary. My thoughts and prayers go out to his the family. David was a special friend to me and will always have a special place in my heart. He was my date to my senior prom in Wichita. I moved from P-burg and nobody asked me to my senior prom, so I asked David. He was kind enough to be my date! Needless to say all my girlfriends thought he was pretty special too! He was much too young to leave earth. The only comfort I can get is that he is with his Mom again. RIP David and pray you are at peace.

I am deeply saddened to learn of David's passing.
He transferred to my platoon when he was a member of Co.A 891st Engr. Bn. (cbt). He was an outstanding soldier and individual. He was highly motivated and personified what we referred to as a "hard charger." He had a great sense of humor and was a natural leader.I am sorry he passed so young. My sympathy is with his family and friends

A smile brighter than the sun.
A laugh louder than a cannon.
A hug to leave you gasping for breath.
A touch as soft as a kitten.

Godspeed, friend. Tell Jay I said Hi.

(And we were singing...)

David was a fraternity pledge brother at KU for a while, Phi Delta Theta. We had a ton of fun for a short time, until he decided the college and fraternity life wasn't really his thing. We loved his stories about his military life, we knew he was a stud! Very proud of his service to our country, we've lost a good man. Peace to David's family and friends.

David was such a great classmate. He always took the time to say hello and he made us laugh. His presence thru the halls of Pittsburg High were noticed because he was so charismatic. We the class of 84 are saddened by his departure. I truly pray that he has found peace now and my prayers go out to the family for comfort in this time of sorrow.

I met David when he moved to Colorado. He served with me in the recruiting command and during his tenure he was selected as the Soldier of the Year for Colorado and Sixth Army. I was so proud of him as he epitomized what a soldier strives to be. He will always hold a special place in my heart as he was the son every woman would love to have. May he rest in eternal peace .
