Janice Patton Obituary
She was born October 17, 1940 in Fredonia, KS the daughter of Louis and Faye Kesner Hufford. She graduated from Fredonia High School and had been a resident of Capaldo where she and her husband raised their family.
She married Gerald Lee "Jerry" Patton on June 13, 1959 in Parsons, KS. He preceded her in death on December 26, 1997.
Mrs. Patton worked as a clerk at Ramsey's Department Store in Pittsburg for 17 years and also for the Frontenac School District in the cafeteria.
She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Frontenac and the Sacred Heart Altar Society.
Survivors include two daughters Brenda Johnson and husband Doug of Frontenac, Missy Mulherin and husband Scott of Frontenac, two sons George Patton and wife Suzanne of Frontenac, Mitch Patton and wife Lori of Frontenac, one sister Connie Howard and husband Jerry of Independence, KS, one brother Charles Hufford and wife Wanda of Milton, Florida, 11 grandchildren, Jordan Rudisill, Jake Rudisill and wife Brooke, Jace Johnson, Samantha Patton, Erica Patton, Ashleigh Patton, Erin Patton, Jason Mulherin, Patty Jo Mulherin and Hunter Mulherin and one great granddaughter Sophia Grace Rudisill.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 am Thursday November 7, 2013 at Sacred Heart Parish Hall with Father Thomas Stroot, as celebrant. Burial will be in the Garden of Memories. Liturgical services will be 6:30 pm Wednesday, November 6, 2013 at the Friskel Funeral Home in Frontenac, KS. The family will receive their friends after the Liturgical services until 8 pm, at the funeral home. Friends may call after 2 pm Wednesday at the Friskel Funeral Home in Frontenac. A memorial has been established to the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Children's Miracle Network or Frontenac Educational Foundation in care of the funeral home.
