Steve has always been my friend. I've known him and his folks all of my life. Junior, Steve's Dad, preached my Dad's funeral and my Mom's funeral. Steve was always close to God; closer now! I think of him often, keep him in my email contacts so when I pass his name, I stop and reflect. I pray that Marilyn and the children and Gayla are comforted in knowing that he's finished the race and with our Lord now.

Love you all

Our prayers are with you always; so hurt to hear of Steve's passing.....thought the world of him even from childhood. We know he's comforted now and for eternity! Didn't find out of his passing until just last night. Gayla had informed me at Drenda Stoner's funeral of his illness and that he wasn't doing good. We had been praying for him and will continue to pray for the family. God bless you; I feel your loss. All our love and prayers!

really sad to hear this, met steve when I was just a teen and he had every right to severely be angry with me, however, he was super polite, kind and all around decent! 30 years later, still spoke, smiled and shook my hand every time I saw him. a model Christian man who I will miss his smile and friendliness.

Steve was one of the finest men I've ever known. His love for Jesus was so evident by the way he lived his life. He was an inspiration to so many people and he will truly be missed. He will be greatly rewarded as he meets his Lord face to face!
