NORWALK - Trena J. Cook, 76, of Monroeville, Ohio, died early Monday morning, Jan. 28, 2013, in the Willows of Bellevue.
She was born March 21, 1936, in Bellevue, Ohio, to the late Wilbur J. and Agnes Elizabeth (Fields) Pittenger and was a lifelong area resident.
She was a longtime member of Zion Episcopal Church, Monroeville, Ohio. She was a member of TOPS, and a card club. Trena had worked at Fashion Bug, Norwalk, Ohio. She enjoyed knitting, reading, crossword puzzles, bingo, and she especially enjoyed being a wife, mother and grandma.
She is survived by her children, Richard L. and Christina Cook, of Fremont, Ohio, Michael D. and MeShelle Cook, of Wakeman, Ohio, Ronald A. and Patti Cook, of Burton, Ohio, John R. and Lalrimawii Cook, of India, William S. and Kelly Cook, of Wakeman, Tracy and Michael Amstutz, of Apple Creek, Ohio, and Mindy and Jason Kamann, of Monroeville. She is also survived by 27 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and by her sister and brother-in-law, Holly and Merle Gates, of Los Palos, New Mexico.
Trena was preceded in death by her husband, Richard B. Cook, in 2004; and by her sister, Sharon Fawcett.
Friends may call on Thursday, Jan. 31, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in Walker Funeral Home, 98 W. Main St., Norwalk, Ohio.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, Feb. 1, at 11 a.m. in St. Paul Episcopal Church, 87 W. Main St., Norwalk. The Rev. Margaret D'Anieri will officiate. Entombment will be in Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron, Ohio.
