Beverly Berry Obituary

Beverly June (Thompson) Berry, 86, of Morris, Illinois passed away peacefully with family by her side on October 23, 2025. Beverly was born on September 24, 1939, in Morris, Illinois. She was the daughter of LaVern B. and Edna M. (Vice) Thompson.
Beverly met Glen Kinzler, they married and had four children: Patty (Bill) Lawson, Mike (Kathy) Kinzler, Tom (Kathy) Kinzler, and Kevin (Nancy) Kinzler.
Beverly later met and married Charles Simmons. They had one child, Tammy (Stephen) Zybell.
Beverly had five siblings, many grandchildren/step-grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
Beverly is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Donald Berry, and her former husbands, as well as her daughter-in-law Kathy (Mike), her grandson Cooper, and her brothers-in-law John Clubb and Vidal Solis.
Beverly retired from the Dresden Nuclear Power Station in Grundy County. She enjoyed retirement in Arizona and Florida with her mother until her mother's passing in 2016. At that time, Beverly returned to Illinois to be close to family.
The family wishes to thank her long-term caregivers, Maria Malic and Gary Scanlon, for their loving and compassionate devotion to Bev.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Bev's honor to Alzheimer's/Dementia Research, to the Cancer Foundation or to the Grundy County Animal Control Shelter.
A graveside burial service will be held on November 8, 2025, at 11:00am at the Evergreen Cemetery in Morris, Illinois with Pastor Steve Larson officiating.
