Connie S. King, 71, of Princeton, passed away on Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at Perry Memorial Hospital in Princeton.
Connie was born on December 17, 1945 in Princeton, IL to Robert E. Sr. and Doris E. Miller. She was a 1964 PHS graduate and graduated Illinois State University in 1968. She married Richard W. King on June 13, 1970 in Princeton. She was a special education teacher in Princeton for many years. Connie was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and community member. She was very family-oriented and loved to spend time with her children and grandchildren. Connie was a very proud homemaker. She enjoyed gardening and sharing her produce with family and friends. She was also an avid pet lover.
Connie is survived by her husband, Richard of Princeton; one son, Timothy (Jessica) King of Cary; one daughter, Kathryn (Ryan) Sudol of Hong Kong; four grandchildren, Gavin King, Mia Sudol, Cameron Sudol, and Ian King; two brothers, Robert Jr. (Kathy) Miller of East Peoria and Craig Miller of Morris; as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and one sister-in-law, Kaye Miller.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, April 2, 2017 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Norberg Memorial Home. Funeral Services will take place on Monday, April 3, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the Norberg Memorial Home with Pastor Brian Gilbert officiating. Burial will follow at the Elm Lawn Cemetery.
Memorials may be directed to Vitas Hospice or the Princeton Ambulance Service.
