Doris M. Enger, 94, of Morris, passed away Thursday, July 28, 2022 at Park Pointe Healthcare & Rehab Ctr. in Morris.
Born February 7, 1928 in Morris, she was the daughter of Christian and Marcella (Hallem) Knutson. She graduated from Morris High School with the class of 1946. She graduated from Joliet Beautician School. Doris owned and operated The Final touch for several years. She married Charles Enger on September 29, 1947 at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Morris. They lived all of their married life in Morris.
She is survived by her children, Rob (Carol) Enger and Larry Enger both of Morris; six grandchildren, Taylor (Fiance, Darrel Deshazer) Enger, Cameron (Nicole) Enger, Andrea Enger, Kendall (Amanda Jenkins) Enger, Eric (Abigail) Enger and Layne (Zachary) Lorden; two great grandchildren, Natalie and Elliott; one brother, Gary (Carol) Gunnerson of Indio, CA; several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her step father, Russell (Lucille) Gunnerson; her husband, Charles in 2014; brother, Russell Gunnerson.
She was a member of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church.
Doris enjoyed doing paintings, gardening and spending time with the love of her life, her dog.
A private memorial service will be held Wednesday, August 3, 2022 at the Fruland Funeral Home, 121 W. Jefferson St. in Morris with Patrick Lohse officiating. Inurnment will follow at ALNC in Elwood.
