Francis Eugene "Gene" Kilbride passed away peacefully on Dec. 10, 2023. He was 87 years of age.
Born July 1, 1936 in Essex, IL, he was the son of Francis and Lois (Hooper) Kilbride. He graduated from St. Pat's High School with the class of 1954. He is survived by his two daughters: Nina Sheehan of Naperville, IL and Gina (Ken) Schock of Morris, IL; four grandchildren, Gianna Schock, Austin Sheehan, Brody Schock, and Trinity Schock; siblings Kay Brandau of Wyandotte, MI; Colleen (Pat) Walsh of Newburgh, IN; Greg (Trish) Kilbride of Jacksonville, FL; numerous nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his parents, brother and sister-in-law Kenneth and Nola Kilbride, and brother-in-law Loyd Brandau. Gene loved to read, play cards, and was a great bowler. He donated his body to science and per his wishes no services will be held. A memorial will be arranged at at later date with family.
