Age 83 of Morris, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 20, 2021 at her home.
Born September 1, 1938 in Marseilles, Illinois, Phyllis Marie was a daughter of George and Genevieve (nee Haff) Lane. She was raised and educated in Marseilles and graduated from Marseilles High School with the Class of 1956. On December 5, 1959, Phyllis married Thomas Stott in Marseilles, and together they made a home and raised their family. She enjoyed playing bingo and going to car shows, but her most beloved memories were those made with family. Phyllis made her family her number one priority; loved her husband and children dearly, and cherished being a grandma and great grandma.
Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Tom "Butch" Stott of Morris; three children: Thomas (Teresa) Stott, Kathy Hoge, and Tracy (Cathy) Stott, all of Morris; six grandchildren: Rebecca (Kevin) Parini, Robert (Nisse) Hoge, Jacob (Hilary) Stott, Jessica Stott, Tiffany (James) Hogan, and Tania Stott; six great grandchildren: Violet, Daisy, and Olive Hoge, Osker Metes, Andrew Parini and Hawk Stott; one brother, Kenneth (Barb) Lane of Marseilles, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers; three sisters, and her son-in-law, James Hoge.
The family will receive friends for a visitation at Reeves Funeral Home, 408 East Washington Street (one block east of Illinois Route 47) in Morris on Wednesday, November 24, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of funeral service, 12:00 p.m. Pastor Steve Larson will officiate, and burial will immediately follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Morris.
Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Phyllis' memory to her family for their distribution.

Mrs. Stott was always such a joy to visit with. When I first knew her in the 90's she loved talking about her grandchildren. In later years it was always about her great-grandchildren. She held her family so dear. What a great lady. It was a real pleasure knowing her.

Cub scout Den Mother & I was her helper. After that
We somehow lost touch. Sympathy to her large
Family. She was indeed a very special lady.
