Sandra Inboden Obituary

Sandra Inboden
Sandra Beth Inboden, born to Howard and Imogene Richey in Paris, Illinois, on June 21, 1950, peacefully passed away on Friday, April 12, 2024, in Morris, Illinois.
Sandy's early years were spent in central Illinois, Wilmington, Illinois, and Albuquerque, New Mexico before the family settled in Mazon in 1965, where Sandy finished high school and was instilled with Midwestern values of industriousness, kindness, and resilience. On August 25, 1976, she married Jack Inboden, and they made their home in Mazon for 38 years before moving to Morris in 2014.
Sandy's kindness, generosity, compassionate nature and unwavering support earned her a special place in the hearts of all who knew her. Her sense of humor, coupled with a stubbornness befitting her Richey heritage, brought joy and laughter to countless family dinners and cookouts.
Throughout her life, Sandy selflessly cared for her parents and extended family, embodying the true spirit of devotion and compassion. As her children grew, she balanced her roles as a dedicated homemaker with work as an optician and various other pursuits, always embracing life with enthusiasm and grace.
A passionate gardener and traveler, Sandy found joy in the beauty of nature and the exploration of new places. Her inner and outer beauty shone brightly, leaving an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing her. Sandy was a devoted wife, loving mother, perfect sister, doting aunt, and loyal friend.
Sandy is survived by her husband, Jack Inboden, her children Kirk McCluckie (Carrie) of Parker, CO, and Angie Cibis (Paul) of Los Angeles, CA, her siblings Rick Richey (Linda) of Wilmington, IL, and Monica "Sue" Linsey (James) of Romeoville, IL, as well as her niece Zoie Chiarella, who will always love her to the moon and back. She is preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Imogene Richey, and her brother Steven Richey.
In addition to her immediate family, Sandy leaves behind loyal friends and cousins whose lives were enriched by her presence. Though Sandy's physical presence may be gone, her spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those she touched.
Sandy, your absence has left a profound void in our lives, but your legacy of love and kindness will endure forever. We will carry you in our hearts, remembering the light you brought into our lives with every passing day.
A visitation for Sandy will be held on Wednesday, April 17, 2024 from 4:00 pm to 6:00pm at the UC Davis-Callahan Funeral Home in Morris. A celebration of Sandy's life will follow at 6:00 pm. She will be inurned privately with family at Mazon Brookside Cemetery.
